We at DESA felt there was a need for educational tuition for children in our community. The aim of Bright Minds tutoring sessions are to:
Develop advanced understanding for topics based on the National Curriculum for KS1 – KS5 across all subject
Identify high achieving students and exposing them to higher level KS content to build confidence
Create a welcoming environment where students and parents feel comfortable
Offering parents information to help them with their child’s educational journey and ensuring they are aware of all the pathways available to them.
Offer guided pathways based on career goal
Instill extremally high aspirations into the students we tutor giving them self belief and to apricate the time they have at school
Making links with local business, professionals, organisations and sporting personalities to deliver inspirational talks to the young children, again raising aspirations
Working alongside local schools to identify key students who would benefit from the tuition sessions due to learning gaps
Develop sessions throughout the day for the growing demand from home schooled children in the local area
Delivering sessions for the Roma/Slovak Children
Deliver adult sessions for EAL members of the community
Embed key British Values seamlessly into every session
